Renewable energy commercialization involves the deployment of three generations of renewable energy technologies dating back more than 100 years. First-generation technologies, which are already mature and economically competitive, include Biomass, Hydroelectricity, Geothermal Power and Heat. Second-generation technologies are market-ready and are being deployed at the present time; they include Solar Heating, Photovoltaic, Wind Power, Solar Thermal Power Stations, and modern forms of Bioenergy. Third-generation technologies require continued R&D efforts in order to make large contributions on a global scale.
Some of the second-generation renewables, such as wind power, is non polluting, environmental friendly, relatively reasonably priced and has a shorter gestation period as compared to conventional power.
Sheth Construction Group has identified few clusters of large land perfectly suitable for the Wind Farming in the vicinity of the Gujarat State, the state having the highest wind power potential in the country.
Apart from the power generation, the land utilized for the Wind Farming, can be used for Agriculture and other purposes as well. The government is encouraging the private developers from the locality to establish such Wind Farms which is another reason for our group to step forward towards the direction of developing such Wind Farms.
